Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3

Overview

Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 is a small, compact camera designed for the Raspberry Pi. It is equipped with a back-illuminated, stacked CMOS 12-megapixel IMX708 Sony sensor with a resolution of 4608 x 2592 pixels. It captures images and videos with HDR support and also has a motorised focus with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) for rapid autofocus in various lighting conditions.

Available in standard and wide-angle options, both with or without an infrared cut filter, it excels at capturing full HD videos and still images with high signal-to-noise Ratio (SNR) and bulit-in 2D Dynamic Defect Pixel Correction (DPC) and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) for rapid autofocus.

The Camera Module 3 has a slightly increased height due to improved optics while maintaining the same PCB size and mounting holes as its predecessor Camera Module 2 and it is fully compatible with all Raspberry Pi computers.
